Abstract. The purpose of this study is to apply the methodologies developed in the Energy Conservation in Coal Conversion August, 1977 Progress Report Contract No. EY77S024196 to an energy efficient, nearterm coal conversion process design, and to develop additional, general techniques for studying energy conservation and utilization in coal conversion processes.
